Salem Steel Plant, Salem is looking for competent personnel for recruitment to the following posts:
Operator –Cum-Technician – Trainee in the following disciplines:
Diploma in Mechanical: 13 Posts
Diploma in Electrical: 4 Posts
Diploma in Metallurgy: 8 Posts
Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation: 3 Posts
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics/ Instrumentation or Metallurgy with 60% marks. (50% marks for SC/ST candidates)
Attendant –Cum-Technician – Trainee in the following disciplines:
ITI -Fitter Trade: 27 Posts
ITI –Electrician Trade: 14 Posts
ITI -Machinist Trade: 9 Posts
Qualification: SSLC / HSC and ITI in Fitter / Machinist / Electrician trade with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST).
Eligibility Conditions
Qualification:
Operator-cum-Technician – Trainee Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics / Instrumentation or Metallurgy with 60% marks. (50% marks for SC/ST candidates)
Qualification:
Attendant-cum-Technician -Trainee SSLC / HSC and ITI in Fitter / Machinist / Electrician trade with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST).
Physical Standard:
a) Height : Minimum 155 cm
b) Weight : 45 kg
c) Vision : 6/6 both eyes
d) Chest unexpanded : 75 cm ; Chest expanded: 79 cm.
e) Power of glasses: (+) or (-) 2.50
f) Colour Vision : Normal.
g) Hearing : Normal
Selection Procedure:
Written test, Interview and Medical examination.
Processing Fee:
Rs. 250/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates) Non-Refundable Demand Draft in favour of SAIL – A/c Salem Steel Plant Payable at Salem and drawn on State Bank of India, Salem Steel Plant Campus Branch.
General Conditions:
1) Only male candidates are eligible for the above post.
2) Initial posting will only be in Salem Steel Plant in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
3) Candidates will have to appear for the written test and medical examination at their own cost.
4) The date, time and venue of written test and interview will be intimated in due course to all the eligible candidates only.
5) Candidates advised by the local Employment Exchanges will also have to apply in the prescribed application format along with the requisite Fees as indicated in this advertisement, failing which they will not be considered for the selection process.
