STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (SSC)
Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary) Examination-2008

Staff Selection Commission will hold on 27/07/2008, an open competitive examination for recruitment to the following posts in various Ministries/Departments by selecting/screening the candidates for the Main Examination. The Combined Graduate Level (Main) Examination-2008 is likely to be held in first half of 2009. The recruitment through the Combined Preliminary Examination is likely to be made for the Following category of posts:

Inspectors of Income Tax / Inspector (Central Excise) / Inspector (Preventive Officer) / Inspector (Examiner) in Custom Houses (Group B Non-Gazetted) in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500/-

Assistants for Offices/ Organisations like CSS, AFHQ, Railway Board, Min. of External Affairs etc. and Inspector of Posts (Group B Non-Gazetted) in pay scales of Rs. 6500-10500 and Rs.5500-9000/-.

Sub-Inspectors in CBI and Assistant Enforcement Officers in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000.
Divisional Accountant/ Auditors/ Junior Accountants / UDCs in various Central Government Departmnts in the pay scales Rs.5500-9000/-, Rs.4500-7000/-, Rs.4000-7000/-

Age Limit: (i) 18-27 years as on 01/01/2009 for Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/ Inspector of Posts / Ass.. Enforcement Officer and Divisional Accountants / Auditors /UDCs (ii) 20 to 27 years as on 01/01/2007 for posts of Assistants and Sub-inspectors in CBI. (iii) Usual age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH/ExS etc. as per Govt. orders.)

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from any recognised Unviersity as on 01/01/2009.

Fee: Rs. 100/-. No fee for SC/ST/PH and Ex-Serviceman. Fee will be paid only in the form of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” These stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.

Scheme of Exam : Preliminary (Written) Examination (Objective Type) on 27/07/2008.

Closing Date: Last date for filling of the application is 02/05/2008 (5PM)

How to Apply : Application on prescribed proforma, in an envelope superscribed “Application for Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary) Examination, 2008″ and name of the centre in capital letters in left side shoud be send to concerned Regional Director of SSC.

hi frens,..aft too much search(for nearly 2 hrs), i found the form on http://www.webmedia123.com/career/compexam/ssc/graduate/form.htm

the only prblm is tht col No. 10 seems to b smwht garbled…i think i ve solved 99% of the prblm..pls do sth bout the rest…
we only need to know what exactly col no. 10 is ?????
