Job Details : Punjab & Sind Bank invites Applications from Indian Citizens for appointment of
officers in JMGS- I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III.
Designation : Probationary Officer
No of Posts : 500
Grade : JMG Scale I
Scale of Pay : 10000 – 18240*
Age Limit : 30 years
Qualification : Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (for SC/ST/ PC – 50%)in aggregate from a University recognised by Government of India.
Computer qualification like diploma in computer operation from NIIT, SSI, Aptech, CMC, DOEACC course / certificate (O/A/B/C) level etc. essential
Designation : Technical Officer
(Civil Engg, Mech. Engg, Elect. Engg)

(Civil-2, Mech-2, Elect-1)
Pay Scale : Rs.10000 – 18240
Age Limit : 30 years
Qualification : Degree in Engineering in the respective field of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical from a University/Institute recognized by Govt. of India.

Qualification : Graduate of any recognized university with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) .

(Specially in Project appraisal / Risk Management/ Treasury / Foreign Exchange/Merchant Banking etc.) will be preferred.

Candidates working on Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform (FINACLE), will be preferred
Designation : EDP Officer
No of Posts : 05
Grade : MMG Scale III
Pay Scale : Rs.18240 – 22280
Age Limit : 35 years
Qualification : Degree in Engineering in the field of Computer Science/IT or MCA from a University/Institute recognized by Govt. of India.
Experience : Five years in any bank/financial institution out of which minimum two years should be in MMGS-II or equivalent. Candidates working on Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform (FINACLE), will be preferred.
Note :
1. The number of vacancies and also the number of reserved vacancies are provisional and may vary
according to the actual requirement of the Bank.
2. It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ Physically Challenged candidates in all Offices/ Branches of the Bank and they will have to work in the post identified by the Bank in any branch / office as suitable for them.
3. As the reservation for Physically Challenged candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category (viz SC/ST/OBC/Gen) to which they belong.

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India, OR (ii) a subject of Nepal,
OR (iii)a subject of Bhutan, OR (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, OR (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv).& (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the production of necessary eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.
Application Fee : Rs.400/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM/) by Demand Draft/ Pay Order favouring payable at ‘Mumbai’ only along with application. Candidate’s Name, Address and Name of the Centre should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/ Pay Order.
Submission of Application : Candidates are required to apply on prescribed application format, which can also be down loaded from bank’s website www.psbindia.com. The duly filled in applications are to be sent by ordinary post at the following address. The application must accompany a Demand Draft/ Pay Order of value mentioned as above, as the case may be, along with other required documents.
