Professor-Post-1
Pay Scale: 37400-67000 AGP:10000
Qualification:
Ph.D. degree (with first class degree at Bachelors or Master’s level) in appropriate discipline. At least five years of teaching/ research experience at the level of Associate Professor with 8 years experience of teaching with AGP of Rs.8000/- and experience of guiding research at Ph.D. level. The candidate should have supervised at-least one Ph.D. Research Work of high standard, and Membership of professional Bodies. Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D degree. He should have experience of guiding research at Post Graduate / Ph.D. level.

Associate Professor-Posts-2
Pay Scale: 37400-67000 AGP:9000
Qualification:
Ph.D. degree (with first class degree at Bachelors or Master’s level) in appropriate discipline. At least eight years of experience as Assistant Professor and 3 years at AGP of Rs.8000/- and experience of guiding research at Ph.D. level. Research Work of high standard, and membership of professional Bodies. Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree. He should have experience of guiding research at Ph.D. level

Assistant Professor-Posts-5
Pay Scale: 15600-39100 AGP:6000
Qualification:
For regular appointment:
Ph.D. degree (with first class degree at Bachelors or Master’s level) in appropriate discipline.
For Contractual appointments*:
M.Tech./M.Phill. with first class or equivalent grade at Masters or Bachelors Degree in appropriate discipline.

Application Fee:
Application fee for various positions of faculty members is Rs.600/- (Rupees Six Hundred) for General and OBC candidates and Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) for SC and ST candidates. Without application fee, no application will be scrutinized. Application fee in the form of Bank Draft addressed to “The Director, NIT, Durgapur” payable at SBI, R.E. How To Apply:
1) Applications filled only in the given format along with summery sheet will be entertained.
2) Copies of certificates, mark sheets, testimonials etc should be attached with the application (attested by competent authority) and the originals must be produced at the time of interview and at the time of joining, if selected. The selected candidates shall produce in original the Matriculation or equivalent certificate as proof of the date of birth.
