Professor: 10 Posts in the following subjects in Government Medical Colleges, Maharashtra Medical Education & Research Services, Group-A.
Pathology: 01 Post

Neurosurgery: 01 Post
General Surgery: 02 Posts
Nephrology: 02 Posts
Pay: Rs.37400- 67000 + G.P.Rs.10000/- (T.E.approximately Rs.75518/-) plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent Rules.
Age: Not more than 40 years as on 1st November, 2008. The upper age limit shall not apply to the employees of Government of Maharashtra.
Qualification Candidate must …. Possess one of the qualifications specified in part-A,
part-A-1, part-B or Part-C of the Schedule appended to the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act, 1961 (Maharashtra XXVIII of 1961) or an equivalent qualification specified from time to time by the
Central Council of Indian Medicine under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970) and Possess post graduate degree in concerned Ayurvedic subject obtained from a Statutory University or a recognised institute and Possess experience of not less than four years in a post of Reader in concerned Ayurvedic subject in a recognised Institute gained after acquiring the qualification mentioned at sub-clause Possess adequate knowledge of English, Marathi, Sanskrit and Hindi so as to be able to read, write and speak the language with facility. Preference may be given to candidates who have at their credit published original research papers or books in Ayurved. If candidates possessing requisite post-graduate qualification are not available for appointment to any post; candidates possessing qualifications mentioned at sub-clause 5.1.1 above will be considered, in which case, the candidates so appointed shall have to acquire requisite post-graduate qualification within a period of five years from the date of their appointment.
