About IHM C&N Hajipur:

Institute of Hotel Management , Catering & Nutrition ( IHMC&N), Hajipur has come into existence in the year 1997 after upgradation of earlier Food Craft Institute, Patna (Society) which was set up in 1982 by Department of Tourism under Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. Food Craft Institute was managed by the Govt. of India till 1987 and onwards 1987 it was handed over to Govt. of Bihar , for further operation. Food Craft Institute was a registered Society under the Society Registration Act. (1860)

Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition, Hajipur is an autonomous body and is a Registered Society ( Reg. no. 109/79-80) under the Society Registration Act ( 1860) .Its affairs are looked after by Board of Governors. The institute like rest of the 28 institutes in the country is jointly sponsored by the Government of India (under Ministry of Tourism) and the Govt. of Bihar ( under Department of Tourism) .IHM , Hajipur is academically Affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi vide Reg. No. AF(44)/22/NC/01.

Post. No. 1  :
Qualification : (i)Graduation from a recognized university(ii) Degree/3 year Diploma in Hotel Management from an institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management/State Board of Technical Education/recognized university. The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in degree/ diploma in Hotel Management. For Graduate in Hotel Management item no. 1 is not necessary
Experience :At least  5 years  experience as Sr. Lecturer-cum -Sr. Instructor in an Institute Hotel Management  affiliated to NCHMCT Or At least 17 years experience  in teaching  and/Or hotel industry including  minimum 5 years teaching experience as Sr. Lecturer-cum- Sr.
Instructor  in an Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to  SBTE/ Recognized university. Or At least 17 years of experience in teaching and/Or Hotel Industry including  5 years teaching experience  as Senior  Lecturer –cum- Senior Instructor in a Food Craft Institute affiliated to
National Council for  Hotel Management & Catering Technology. Or At least  17 years Hotel Industry experience  including  minimum 5 years in Managerial Capacity in 4 star /Heritage and above category approved hotel.

Post No.2.
Qualification: Degree /3 year diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to  NCHMCT/SBTE/ Recognized university. The candidates must  have secured 55% marks in degree/diploma  in Hotel Management.
Experience: At least 5 years experience as Lecturer-cum-instructor in an Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to NCHMCT. Or At least 12 years experience in teaching and or hotel industry including minimum 5 years teaching experience as Lecturer-cum-Instructor in an
Institute of Hotel Management affiliated to State Board of Technical Education/Recognized University. or  At Least 12 years of experience in teaching and/or  hotel Industry including  5 years teaching experience as Lecturer –cum-Instructor in Food Craft Institute  affiliated to
NCHMCT. Or At least  12 years  Hotel Industry experience  including  minimum  5 years  in supervisory  capacity in 3 star/heritage or above category approved hotel.

Post No.3:
Qualification: Degree /3 year diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to NCHM/SBTE/ Recognized University.  The candidate must have secured 55% marks in degree/diploma in Hotel Management. Qualification for specific subject:’Accounts’M.Com/CWA with 50% marks
Experience At least 5 years experience as Asstt: Instructor-cum Asstt- Lecturer in an Institute of  Hotel Management   affiliated to NCHMCT. At least 7 years experience in teaching and or hotel Industry   including minimum  5 years teaching experience as Asstt. Instructor-cum-Asstt. Lecturer in an Institute of Hotel Management Affiliated  to SBTE/Recognized University. At least 7 years experience in teaching and /or Hotel Industry including  5 years teaching  experience as Asstt. Instructor-cum-Asst. Lecturer in a food Craft Institute  affiliated to NCHMCT( or At least 07 years  hotel industry experience   including minimum 3 years in supervisory capacity in 3 star/heritage or above category approved hotel.

Post No.4:
Qualification: Degree/3 yrs diploma in Hotel Management from an Institute affiliated to  NCHMCT/SBTE/ Recognized university. The candidate must have 60% marks in degree/diploma in Hotel Management.
Experience:  Minimum of 3 years practical experience in hotel and catering industry. Or  At least  2 years of teaching experience in an institute affiliated to NCHMCT/SBTE/ Recognized university.

Those who are working in Govt./ Semi Govt. / Quasi   Govt./ Autonomous body should apply through proper channel along with  copies of  last three years  ACRs. The above posts carry usual allowance as admissible under Central Govt. The Post is Non- Pensionable but  the New Pension Scheme  as per rules  be applicable.
