HIGH COURT OF UTTARAKHAND NAINITAL-RECRUITMENT OF PERSONAL ASSISTANTS 2009
Special Recruitment Drive of Personal Assistants at High Court of Uttarakhand
Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed form for direct recruitment of Personal Assistants in the establishment of High Court of Uttarakhand.

Reserved Seats: SC-03, ST-1, OBC-03
Pay Scale / Salary: Rs.9300-34800 grade pay Rs.4800 and after 4 years of service Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/-
Educational Qualification:
The candidate:-
(i) Must possess a Bachelor’s degree of a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto.
(ii) Must possess good knowledge of English Shorthand and typing with minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English and 100 words in English Shorthand dictation per minute.
Age: The candidate must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and should not be more than 35 years as on 1st July, 2009. However, relaxation in age will be admissible as per rules of Government of Uttarakhand to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes. State Government Servants are eligible for recruitment to the post of Personal Assistants upto the age of 45 years. Government servants must submit their application through proper channel.
Examination for Recruitment -
(i) A written test of General Knowledge & General English with multiple choice questions (Objective Type) (30 Marks).
(ii) Test of shorthand dictation in English and typing it on computer (70 Marks).
Fee & Form of Application: Applications will be entertained only on prescribed form, which may be downloaded from the website (www.highcourtofuttarakhand.gov.in) o fHighCourt of Uttarakhand Nainital. The candidates belonging to Other Backward Class must enclose a demand draft of any nationalized bank for Rs. 200/- and candidates belonging to Scheduled Class & Scheduled Tribe must enclose a demand draft of any nationalized bank for Rs. 100/- along with the application drawn in favour of Registrar General, High Court of Uttarakhand, payable at Nainital. The candidate must enclose the copies of testimonials of academic qualification, experience etc. For proof of age, copy of certificate of High School or equivalent is must. Any application not filled completely or without enclosing the copies of required testimonials or demand draft shall be rejected summarily.

Last Date To Apply: The last date for submission of duly completed application before Registrar General, High court of Uttarakhand, Nainital is 30.12.2009 by 4.30 P.M. The High Court will not be responsible for any delay whatsoever. Applications received after the last date shall be rejected summarily. The envelope containing application should be superscripted, “Application for Special Recruitment Drive of Personal Assistants – 2009″. Application by Government servant should be submitted only through proper channel, with No Objection Certificate of the Head of the Department
The list of eligible candidates shall be uploaded on the website of the High Court on or before 08.01.2010. The written examination and typing test shall be conducted in Nainital on 30.01.2010. Admit Card shall be sent to the candidates. In case any candidate, whose name appears in the list of eligible candidates on the website and does not get admit card, he may obtain it from the office of undersigned by
29.01.2010. The candidate must carry his/her recent passport size photograph while seeking duplicate admit card. No admit card shall be issued on 30,01.2010. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the test without admit card.
There will be no interview. The selection will be made on the basis of marks secured in written, dictation & typing test. The minimum qualifying marks are 55% for a.B.C. Category & 45% for S.C & S.T. Category.
