Applications from the eligible candidates are invited for the following posts on the prescribed form (along with detailed qualifications, experience requirements & other relevant information) obtainable from the office of Registrar, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days on payment of Rs. 200/- for the posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 28 and Rs.75/- for the posts at Sr. No.29 and 30 and Rs. 50/- for the post at Sr. No. 31 either in cash at the counter or by sending Bank Draft in favour of the COMPTROLLER, GADVASU, Ludhiana along with self addressed envelope (28×12 cms) bearing postage stamps of Rs. 22/-.
The duly completed application forms with prescribed fee of Rs. 750/- (for posts at Sr. No. 1 to 6), and Rs. 400/-(for posts at Sr. Nos. 7 to 9) and Rs.300/- (for posts at Sr. Nos. 10 to 28) and Rs. 150/- (for posts at Sr. No. 29 and 30) an Rs. 100/- (for post at Sr. No. 31) in the form of Bank Draft payable to the COMPTROLLER, GADVASU, Ludhiana should reach the Registrar, GADVASU, Ludhiana by 30.12.2009.

(The candidates with B.V.Sc. and A.H./B.V.Sc. degree will be entitled NPA as per University rules).
Important:
1. Applications, which are incomplete/not on the prescribed form/received after the due date/received without the prescribed application fee shall not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
2. The University reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw any post indicated in the Advertisement.
3. In-service candidate should apply through proper channel.
4. Appointment to the posts at Sr. No. 3, 5, 6,7, 8 and 10 to 15 shall be co-terminus with the scheme in which these are provided.
5. Minimum age of entry is 18 years and retirement age is 60 years for all posts.
6. The selected candidates can be posted at Ludhiana or any outstation.
7. For posts at Sr. No. 5 to 26: 3% of the posts are reserved for physically handicapped persons with 40% or more disability and the breakup of this reservation is as under: -
(i) Blindness of low vision 1%
(ii) Hearing Impairment 1%
(iii) Locomotor disability or Cerebral palsy 1%
(orthopaedically impaired).
Attested copies of the Certificates regarding proof of handicapped and extent thereof, issued by Civil Surgeon of the district or place of which applicant is a permanent resident should be attached. It would also be certified in the medical certificate that the applicant is otherwise fit for the post he/she is applying for. However, if eligible persons are not found available in response to this advertisement, the posts will be filled out of other category/categories and the posts meant for persons with disabilities shall be carried forward to be filled up from future vacancies.
8. For posts at Sr. No. 27 to 31: 25% and 12% posts are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes and Backward Classes belonging to Punjab State respectively. 13 % posts are reserved for Ex-serviceman and 3 % posts are reserved for physically handicapped persons.
9. For posts at Sr. No. 27 to 31: Age relaxation belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Classes is 5 years over and above the normal recruitment age and for physically handicapped persons is 10 years over and above the normal age.
10. Eligible candidates must bring their original certificates, publications etc. at the time of interview.
11. For posts at Sr. No. 10 to 26: Candidates must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR.
12. No T.A./ D.A. will be paid.
