Secretary General
Pay Scale: Rs. 75,000/- (approx)
Age: Min 45 years
Qualification & Experience:
Candidate should possess an engineering degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or computer Science or its equivalent and about 15 years experience in a post of managerial responsibility, of which at least 5 years should be at a superior level in government, Educational, Professional or Industrial Organisation.
Desirable:
A postgraduate degree in Management or any Engineering discipline is desirable.
Job Description:
The Secretary General is directly responsible to the Council of IETE through its President and is to carry out all his duties under the direction of the Council, unless otherwise directed by President. Unless otherwise directed by the Council, the Secretary General is to conduct the correspondence of the Institution and of the Council and to sign all communications and papers emanating from the Institution; to attend meetings of the Institution, of the Council, of the Committees, Sub-Committees and Working Groups that may be appointed by the Council; to take minutes of the proceedings of such meetings; to superintend the publications of the Institution; to hold charge of all the property of the Institution; save the funds in the custody of the bankers of the Institution; to arrange and conduct the examinations of the Institution

Dy Managing Editor
Pay Scale: Rs. 40,000/-(approx)
Age: Min 35 years
Qualification & Experience:
BE/ B.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science (Engineering)/IT or equivalent degree or M.Sc (Physics with Electronics) with minimum 7 yrs experience out of which 1-2 yrs in editing of Technical Journals. Should have good working knowledge of computers.
Desirable:
Postgraduate diploma in book publishing. Candidates having proven flair of technical writing shall be preferred.
Job Description:
Editing of research papers, articles, publications of bi-monthly and quarterly journals and a newsletter. Coordinate research activities of students pursuing research in the emerging technologies at various institutions. Preparation of agenda/minutes of the meetings of Board of Research/Board of Recognition of Excellence/ Publication Committee and follow up action on the decisions taken by the Council/Committee/Boards.

Asst Secretary (Academics)
Pay Scale: Rs. 40,000/-(approx)
Age: Min 35 years and above.
Qualification & Experience:
BE/B Tech in Electronics/Telecommunications/ Computer Science/It or equivalent degree or MSc (Physics with Electronics) with professional experience of at least 7 years out of which 1-2 year in teaching.
Desirable:
Experience in the academic field in a professional Institution/University/Engineering College/Diploma College.
Job Description:
(a) Review of syllabi of IETE examinations to keep up the advancement of Technology and at par with other equivalent Institutions. Interaction with MHRD/AICTE/other Educational Organizations/Universities/Institutions for recognition of ALCCS, AMIETE and DIPIETE and placement of the students.
(b) Planning of the broadcast of lectures through EDUSAT.
(c) Preparing agenda and minutes of Academic Committee and follow up action on the decisions of the Council/Committee. Perusing all court cases related to academic matters.
(d) Should be capable of conducting IETE examinations at its various local centers all over India, and timely announcements of results.

Technical Officers

Age: Min 30 yrs and above.
Qualification & Experience:
BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science (Engineering)/IT or equivalent degree or M.Sc(Physics with Electronics) with minimum 5 yrs experience out of which 1-2 yrs in editing of Technical Journals. Should have good working knowledge of computers.
Desirable:
Candidates having proven flair of technical writing and book publishing shall be preferred.
Job Description:
To assist Managing Editor/Deputy Managing editor in editing of research papers, articles, publications of bi-monthly and quarterly journals and a newsletter. Responsible for processing and secretarial help for more than 60 IETE annual awards. Coordinate research activities to pursue research in the emerging technologies.

Proof Reader
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- (approx)
Age: Min 25 yrs and above.
Qualification & Experience:
Science Graduate (Physics/Maths) with minimum 3 years of experience in proof reading of technical books/journals.
Desirable:
Diploma/short-term course in proof reading. Candidate should have working knowledge of computers.
Job Description:
Responsible for proof reading of research papers, articles, technical books/journals. To assist Dy Mg Editor (Publications) in executing duties for smooth functioning of publications section.
